The fruit for this wine comes from the upper, western block of Benjamin Hammberschlag’s high altitude, Seaview property in the McLaren Vale. The property consists of 4 different blocks, the other 3 of which went into the Slipstream Shiraz-Grenache blend.
The Fastback is made by Reid Bosward of Kaesler. The grapes were gently pressed under temprature-controlled conditions. After fermentation, the wine was racked into French barrique (40% new) where it was aged for 15 months.
