David Duband is a young, Beaune Wine School-educated vigneron working with enviable holdings in Nuits-St.-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Vosne-Romanee. He is yet another of the new generation of French winemakers trying to revitalize family vines whose fruit had long been sold in bulk to negociants. Other growers who work with Les Gruenchers include Fourrier and Dujac. Total vineyard size is 2.28 ha, situated just below houses of the village in the center of the AOC – close to Bonne Mares.
