Location : Vineyards in the commune of Galgon, bordering the commune of Saillans, in the district of Fronsac.

Terroir : Hillside vineyards on clay-

Planting density : 4600 vines per hectare

Grape Varieties : 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

Average Yields : 50 hl/ha, giving annual production of around 80 000 bottles

Average age of vines : 30 years old

Vinification & Ageing Regime :

* Parcel by parcel monitoring for ripeness
* Green harvest
* Mechanical harvest at optimum ripeness, with first sorting in the vineyard
* Transport and reception of grapes in stainless steel without screw, then through a stainless steel “hopper” with drip cage.
* 100% destemming
* Second sorting on vibrating sorting table; third sorting by hand (8 people)
* Parcel by parcel vinifications
* Classic Bordeaux vinification : in stainless steel tanks, temperature-regulated, 3-4 week cuvaison
* 12 to 18 months ageing in vat
* Gelatine fining (3-4 cl/Hl)
* Final blending in April following harvest; bottling between September and following June, depending on the vintage.
