Wine Information:
The 2006 Vino Nobile Montepulciano is a blend of 80% Prugnolo gentile, the Sangiovese clone native to Montepulciano, and 15% Canaiolo nero and 5% Mammolo. The vineyards are planted on tufa soils at a South/South-West exposure in the Bossona and Martiena Crus, and range from 40 to 15 years in age. This Vino Nobile is aged in large oak casks for 24 months and cellared in the bottle for 6 months before release.
