Michael Skurnik Wines Organic and Biodynamic Wineries
Michael Skurnik Wines is a Market Leader in Promoting Organic Viticulture and Sustainable Agriculture!
You already know us as the leader in importing high quality, artisanal, estate-bottled wines of distinction.
But did you also know that Michael Skurnik Wines has, for years, been at the forefront of supporting producers who practice organic farming too?
Yes, while other companies tout themselves as the leader in this category, beware of “marketing spin”. Many are trying to take advantage of the “Whole Foods” phenomenon, promoting things as “organic” whether they actually engage in organic practices or not!
Quite frankly, it’s not surprising, that in associating ourselves with the finest winemakers and winegrowers around the world, that many of them would also utilize organic and/or sustainable farming practices, respecting the earth in which their grapes grow, and not overusing harmful pesticides and herbicides.
And that is indeed why so many of our producers are at least “practicing organic”. Many of our producers have also gone the extra step to be “certified organic” or “certified biodynamic”.
The wineries listed below are wholly committed to the practice of organic, biodynamic or sustainable agriculture and do not use any chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides throughout the wine-making process. Some have taken it a step further and received certification for these practices. All of them are as focused on making the best wine possible as they are on making it in the most environmentally conscious way whenever possible.
